Honda

On December 5th Honda CEO Fukui announced Honda pulled out of Formula One. It had been over 40 years that the founder, Soichiro Honda decided to take part in F1. Since then Honda had made history and moved us. The sales for this term was really bad. It was a decrease in sales of 42% compared the previous year. And in 2005 EU limited the advertisement of tobacco strictly, so the formula one world lost big sponsors. As for racing achievement Honda had been sluggish for several years, so Honda couldn’t promote their cars. Because of these situations, Honda had a difficulty in paying an annual expense of more than 50 billion yen. Honda had to pull out of F1. I was sad to hear that news, now I am looking forward to seeing Honda’s machine in F1 race.

Brazilian grand prix2008

The competition for world champion ran into the final race as in the last season. Hamilton had 94 points, and Massa had 87 points. Which one would be the world champion?

The preliminary, the pole position was Massa and the fourth was Hamilton. If they reached the goal with this order kept, world champion would be champion. Just before starting race, it rained, so condition was not good for drivers. In a race, order changed considerably. At 11circles Massa was top and Hamilton fall the seventh, but at 42 circles Hamilton became the fifth. Six laps to go, it rained again. Drivers excluding Glock made a pit stop to change the dry tires for the wet tires, so at 67 circles top was Massa, the fourth was Glock, the fifth was Hamilton, and the sixth was Vettel. Massa finished the goal first, so Hamilton had to reach the goal at least fifth to be world champion. Two laps to go, Vettel overtook Hamilton, and Hamilton became the sixth. Massa would come from behind victory? However at the final lap, Glock lost his pace because of his dry tires, so Hamilton passed him and finished the goal fifth. Hamilton became the youngest world champion.

Driver’s Championship

There is only Brazil GP left before the race ends. The top is Hamilton, he has 84 points, the second is Massa, 79 points, the third is Kubica, 72points, the fourth is Raikkinen, he became the world champion last season, and he has 63 points. I expected him to become the world champion two times in a row, but he can’t. The rookie Hamilton who belongs to Mclaren and Massa who belongs to Ferrari are competing for world champion this season. If Hamilton becomes the world champion, he can be the sport’s youngest title holder. Brazil is Massa’s home country, so he probably wants to be the champion in his home country, Brazil. I’m looking forward to seeing Brazil GP. When Michael was racing, Alonso beat him and became the champion two times in a row. In those days Alonso was rookie but now he is expert. He shows off his ability in Singapore GP, Japan GP, and Chine GP. Next season, Alonso is in Renault or not? Many teams want him. Next season Alonso may be able to be the world champion again.

The first is Hamilton, the second is Raikkonen, the third is Kovalainen, the fourth is Alonso, and the fifth is Massa.


The final
Right after the start, Raikkonen got off to a good start and passed Hamilton. However, at the first corner Hamilton tore Raikkonen way out, so Raikkonen was off course. And Hamilton and Kovalainen lost their order, then Kubica got the top, and Alonso got the second. Coulthard crashed Kazuki,so Kazuki made a pit stop to repair his machine.

Hamilton tried to overtake Massa, but they scratched. Hamilton spin off and his order changed the eighteenth from sixth.

The first was Kubica, the second was Alonso, the third was Kovalainen, the fourth was Raikkonen, and the seventh was Massa. This order was beyond our expectations. Then Kovalainen’s machine stopped because of engine trouble. Massa and Hamilton ware punished because of their dangerous drive. They had to do drive through penalty.

Alonso made a pit stop, and he came back the race in front of Kubica, so Alonso got the top position.

The top, Alonso made a pit stop, and after 4 circles Kubica made a pit stop. It was worthwhile to notice that which drivers got the top. Kubica came back behind Alonso. Right after Raikkonen made a pit stop, he came back the race right behind Kubica. Then a bitter race for the second began.

The result

The first was Alonso, the second was Kubica, and the third was Raikkonen. Massa was the eighth, Hamilton was twelfth.

Alonso won two straight, Singapore and Japan! In this season, no one expected that Alonso would win two straight. The youngest world champion, Alonso proved his ability the latter part of the race.

Night Race

Singapore GP
The night race in Singapore was hold for the first time in history. This race is not special race course, but highway, so width is narrow. To run this course, drivers will be requested driver’s technique.

The preliminary

Pole position was Massa. The second was Hamilton. The third was Raikkonen. The fourth was Kubica. The tenth was Kazuki. The fifteenth was Alonso. Alonso was in good condition the day before, but the machine stopped at the preliminary, so he got the fifteenth position. He has strong possibility to win the race, so he was sorry about this result.

The final
Massa got off to a good start, and had a lead of great distance over Hamilton. Hamilton also gained on Raikkonen.

Raikkonen got the fastest lap, and gained ground on Hamilton.

Piquet Junior crashed the wall, so safety car ran the race. Because of this, Hamilton drew up with Massa.

Massa made a pit stop, and started with the fuel hose plugged. He stopped his machine at exit of pit lane, waited until the crews detached the fuel house, and backed to the race. Because of this mistake, Massa became the late place from the top.

Then the place changed and changed.

Finished making a final pit stop, Alonso became the top of the race.

Sutil struck on the wall, so safety car ran the race again. Rosberg closed Alonso.

Safety car left and the race resumed. Alonso got off to a good start, and distanced Rosberg.

Raikkonen hit against the wall, the machine wrecked, and he dropped out.

The result

Alonso gained a victory after one year of separation. This is the first time after transfer to Renault. Alonso was very pleased. The second was Rosberg. The third was Hamilton. Kazuki was the eighth, he got a prize.

Next GP is JAPAN!

Fernando Alonso

This season, Alonso returned the RENAULT, but he hasn’t won yet. In the year 2005 and 2006 seasons he belongs to Renault and became the world champion two times in a row. He beat Michael Schumacher. Alonso transferred from Renault to McLAREN in 2007. Everyone was hopeful of Alonso becoming the world champion three times. However Hamilton rear his head. He ran up more and more winning. The champion Alonso didn’t want to lose to Hamilton even if he was a promising new player. McLAREN that had Alonso and Hamilton divided. Then the McLAREN problem happened. Because of this McLAREN was deprived all points of constructors. This caused a crack between McLAREN and Alonso. McLAREN that lost all points had to want Alonso or Hamilton to be the world champion. However, in 2007 season, the world champion was Kimi Raikkonen who belonged to Ferrari. Ferrari got the driver’s world championship and the constructor’s championship. In this season, Alonso came back to Renault. Eight races finished. Massa got 48 points, Kubica got 46 points, Raikkonen got 43 ponts, Hamilton got 38 points, but Alonso only got 10 points. Ten races are left. Can Alonso win the race? Can Alonso become the world champion again?

KAZUKI NAKAJIMA

KAZUKI belongs to WILLIAMS and is a second driver. His father is SATORU NAKAJIMA who was a F1 driver and excellent driver, and KAZUKI is also an excellent driver. In 1996 he debuted car racing, and then he did fine. He raced in the GP2 series in 2007, and got the fifth, and gained the rookie of the year. In 2008 he made a contact as a regular driver, and entered F1. Now he rears his head. He has already got 7point, and gained points in MONACO GP, it was first time for Japanese. It is worthy for the media in the world and F1 parties to notice the future of Kazuki. Although pressure from others, he overcome it and races carefully. I expect that he was awarded, and I boost Kazuki who is only Japanese driver.

Monaco GP

The Preliminary contestFerrari got the first and second position. Ferrari hasn’t won Monaco GP for seven years, so this result was hopeful. McLaren got the third and fourth position. Alonso who won three times in a row at Monaco GP got the seventh position. Japanese driver, Kazuki got fourteenth position. The course in Monaco isn’t car racing circuit, but it is the common street. It is difficult to drive that course because that width of road is very narrow.

















The Final
It rained in the morning, but it stopped raining toward noon. However, it rains again just before the race. The rainy race demand strategy of team and courage of driver. We have high expectation of wining Ferrari. Then the race started. Raikkonen didn’t get off to a bad start, so he was passed by Hamilton.

Alonso hit his tire against the guardrail, but it didn’t become serious because of his high drivers skill. However, at the same spot, Coulthard collided with Bourdais. So SC entered and left after two circles running.

When the road began to dry, Alonso changed wet tire into dry tire. Then drivers changed one after another.

After SC left, the race resumed. The fourth position was Sutil in Force India. The fifth position was Raikkonen in Ferrari. Raikkonen who is a champion of last year and drives a good machine which has the best performance was back to Sutil. Raikkonen was impatient about this situation, and he did braking mistake. He collided with Sutil from behind, so they had to pit stop. Sutil had to retire the race. He cried with disappointment.





The result
The first was Hamilton. The second was Kubica. The third was Massa. The seventh was Kazuki.
Ferrari was thrashed in spite of getting good result in the preliminary contest. Kazuki is the first Japanese who got a point at Monaco GP

SOS

I would like to talk about this blog title. SOKdan means Sekaiwo Ooinimoriagerutameno Kimiraikkonen no dan in Japanese and comes from SOSdan. SOSdan is formed by Suzumiya Haruhi who is main character of Suzumiya Haruhi’s melancholy which is Japanese animation. Haruhi is high school student and looks cute, but her personality is so odd that many people can’t understand what she says or does.

She hates usual life because she believes existence of alien and is keen that suddenly another world appears or alien strike human. However such things never happen, so she tries to find unusual things and makes club which name is SOS team. SOS team means Sekaiwo oinimoriagerutameno SuzumiyaHaruhi no dan in Japanese. Members of that club are Haruhi, Kyon, Mikuru, Nagato, and Koizumi. They are classmates, and Haruhi forces them to participate in club.

The highlight of this story is personality of character. Haruhi is so selfish and always orders Kyon to administer to her. Kyon is tied to her apron strings. Mikuru is very cute, so she is made to wear costume of maid or nurse. Nagato always reads book and never smile. Koizumi is handsome and mysterious. This animation seems to be comedy but it is a little complex. Haruhi has a power that can realize whatever she wishes, but she doesn’t notice that power. In the story, she wishes alien to come, then her wish is realized. I recommend you to see this animation. I have no doubt you are fascinated with Haruhi and Mikuru. If you encounter unusual thing, please let me know.

Massa gets pole position three times in a row, so I have expectation of him. The second is Kovalainen. He had an accident in Spanish GP and was carried to the ambulance. He is perfectly revival and returns to Formula One. The third is Hamilton. The fourth is Raikkonen. The fifth is Kubica. The sixth is Button. The seventh is Heidfeld. The sixteenth is Kazuki. He is only Japanese, so I cheer for him.

On starting race, Massa gets off to a good start. Kovalainen and Hamilton overtake Kubica. Alonso gets fourth position at a burst. While Raikkonen gets off a bad start, so he drops to sixth. Kovalainen has to make the first pit stop to change the tires because of collision between him and Raikkonen. At the back, Fisichella strikes against Kazuki, so Fisichella gets off the machine. Kazuki’s car is highly damaged, and he makes a pit stop to mend but he results in retire. 19ciecles Massa and Kubica make a pit stop. 21circles Raikkonen makes a pit stop. This good timing of pit stop places him in front of Kubica. 24circles Hamilton overtakes Massa, and tries to gain on Massa. However Hamilton makes three pit stops, so Massa runs in front of Hamilton again.

The first is Massa. He accomplishes pole to win three times in row in Turkey Grand Prix. The second is Hamilton. The third is Raikkonen. The fourth is Kubica. The fifth is Heidfeld. The sixth is Alonso. The eleventh is Button. The twelfth is Kovarainen. If he didn’t make the first pit stop to change the tires, he may win this race. It is pity that only Japanese Kazuki retires this race. I hope Takuma can return Formula One.

Super Aguri F1

Yesterday I heard sad news that Super Aguri F1 Team withdraw Formula one. SAF1 has been falling financial difficulty for a long time, but under hard situation Takuma, Davidson, many crew, and Aguri did their best to go in for the race. This team isn’t strong and fast, and if drivers can run the whole distance it is splendid achievement. SAF1 participated in Formula One in 2006. The opening game in 2006 took place at Bahrain, and cars of SAF1 were there. Though nobody thought they could run the whole distance, Takuma did. This splendid achievement pleased F1fun in Japan, and proved Japanese strength. From then on SAF1 continued to running and got points though cars were not good. I don’t know business, so I couldn’t say anything about contract or sponsors. However if sponsors have funded, SAF1 may avoid withdraw now. I lament this result. I want to see Takuma and Davidson running,so I hope they can be in Formula One.

Spainish Grand Prix

On April 27, long-awaited Spainish GP was hold. In the qualifying on April26, Raikkonen got pope position, and Alonso got second position. I like Raikkonen, so I was happy about this result. This season, Alonso transferred from McLAREN to RENAULT where he was. After transferring, Alonso couldn’t work out, so this position enlivened him, RENAULT, and Spanish who boost Alonso. Third was Massa. Fourth was Kubica. Fifth was Hamilton. Sixth was Kovalainen. I hoped for Raikkonen to win. However, as Spain is native country of Alonso, so I also hoped for Alonso to win.

Well, the final race!

On starting race, Massa outstripped Alonso, and Hamilton outstripped Kubica. I think Hamilton is worthy to be called SUPER ROOKIE. Then the safety car got in the race on impact that was caused by Sutil and Vettel.

The corner was imaged. Why I thought this corner was imaged, so I watched carefully. Then I found car of McLAREN being buried in wall of tires.
KOVALAINEN!!! He was buried in wall of tires. I had no idea about what happened to him. Immediately the safety care got in race again. According to on-board camera, left front tire picked up fragment and burst. As a result, Kovalainen couldn’t control his car and crashed into wall of tire at 220kilometers an hour. I worried whether he was ok. Soon, a helicopter and ambulance came. For a while camera from helicopter imaged Kovalainen who raised his hand. I was so secure that I cried so much.

Something usual happened to Alonso! Cloud of smoke and fire went up from engine. He was obliged to drop out the race. Spain is his native country, so it seems to me that he was so sad. A lot of audiences in Spain saw off Alonso with giving him a big hand. I felt Spanish were kind and warm.

The winner was Kimi Raikkonen! 1:38:19.051! He timed the fastest rap on 46circles, 1:21.670.
The second was Felipe Massa. FERRARI made 1-2 finish. The third was Hamilton. The fourth was Kubica. The fifth was Webber. The sixth was Button. The former season, Honda didn’t bring about the desired results, but this season Button won a prize. How great Button is!

Next is Turkey GP. I’m looking forward to it and would like to see Kovalainen driving a car.
